Position Summary:
The Engagement Director will be responsible for leading successful end-to-end PMx* engagements, overseeing seamless execution from initial client engagement, through to planning to final delivery. This role involves supporting business development with early pipeline lead development and relationship building, leading engagement planning and preparations, and working with the delivery team and client to optimize delivery. As the go-to expert for the PMx solution, the Engagement Director will combine delivery excellence with outstanding client service, working cross-functionally with all client stakeholders and delivery team members to maximize customer satisfaction and success.
In addition, the Engagement Director will be an integral part of the PMx incubator, supporting the Head of Commercial Partnerships in developing the PMx offering and building relationships. This includes contributing to the strategic direction of the PMx incubator and ensuring the successful implementation of its initiatives.
*PMx is a targeted commercialization solution which bundles relevant Diaceutics solutions to provide a tailored, data-driven and focused approach to commercialization for precision medicine and rare disease therapies. PMx offers a unique flexible and cost efficient approach for pharma and biotech to bring therapies to market.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- End-to-End Engagement Management: Holistically bringing together the entire lifecycle of PMx engagements, from initial planning and preparation to execution. Leading governance meetings with the client and working closely with the project manager and internal SMEs to provide direction to support delivery, escalating risks and managing senior client stakeholders.
- Business Development Support: Collaborate with business development and sales to identify opportunities, develop proposals, and secure new PMx engagements. This will require client need identification, solution building and negotiation.
- Client Relationship Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, building and maintaining strong relationships to ensure alignment with their needs and expectations.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with delivery team members to ensure cohesive and efficient project delivery.
- Delivery Excellence: Ensure high-quality delivery of services, meeting or exceeding client expectations and achieving project goals.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Management: An essential component of the role, ensuring that all aspects of a PMx project are cross functionally optimised and delivered seamlessly.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for improvement in engagement processes and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- PMx Incubator Support: Actively participate in the PMx incubator, supporting the Head of Commercial Partnerships in developing the PMx offering and building relationships.

Knowledge and Specialist Skills:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or related scientific field is required.
- Experience: 5+ years experience in either a consulting or industry environment where you have been managing multiple complex projects. Experience in Precision Medicine and/ or therapy commercialization is preferred.
- Experience managing projects to time and budget / operational budgets / finances/ quality and risk.
- Expertise in managing high performing teams, working collaboratively with cross functional teams.
- Strong organizational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple sub-workstreams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Proficiency in project management tools.
